The Ontario AgriCentre provides a high profile, professional home for agriculture organizations and related companies. Guelph is recognized as a centre of excellence in Canada for the agriculture and food industry and the AgriCentre represents an exciting opportunity for Ontario's farm organizations.
The Ontario AgriCentre is now home to 20 agriculture associations. See our Tenants page for a full listing.
The concentration of organizations creates a `Main Street' presence for agriculture that is highly visible and accessible and will be a permanent symbol of agriculture's proud contribution to Canada.
This location provides tenants with easy access to the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) head office, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's Ontario regional headquarters, the University of Guelph, many of the provincial and national agricultural organizations, and more than 70 agriculture-related companies. The three storey, 60,000 square foot facility opened in fall, 2005.
The building is operated by Ontario AgriCentre Ltd., a joint venture formed by Peter Hannam and J. Lammer Developments Ltd. John and Tom Lammer have been active in the property development industry for more than 25 years. Hannam, a University of Guelph alumnus, has been active in Ontario agriculture and agri-business for more than 25 years.
